Lucky Streak
at first it was the little things you know things so seemingly insignificant as to hardly be worth noticing like winning a free order of fries a bank error in my favor being undercharged at the cleaners but then it hit me I was on a lucky streak no cavities the next time I went to the dentist the children making their beds every morning without being screamed at or berated the dinner dishes done before six each night no more calls from telephone solicitors the bills all paid on time the laundry clean and folded and put away and then it was the big things discovering a cure for cancer allocating an international fund to send a manned mission to Mars or looking at you and you looking back and you kissing me like that first year when we were madly in love
