Love & Lies
When the evening turns to twilight And the stars light up the sky, In a quiet room with candles lit Exist my love and I. The shadows hide the corners As the shadows hide his eyes, And the energy between us Is alive with love and lies. I am beautiful, he'll tell me With his hands upon my body And his mouth in constant contact While my mind is soaring high. I am suffering from romance, I beseech him to stay with me, He must live with me forever... But I know it's all a lie. There's a thousand rooms like this Where lovers go to dream and kiss, Being driven mad with romance in their heart; Sipping rare imported wines Reciting all their favorite lines, Vowing never to allow their lives to part. He and I, of course, are different Gazing in each other's eyes - We are sworn forever faithful Not to tell each other lies. When he goes home in the morning I will never doubt his trust; There is Christmas in this moment And the world is only us.
