If The Shoe Fits

With a supercilious manner And a condescending air The supervisor's supervisor Leans back in his chair Watches diligently working Little people run like ants Keeps his eye on the receptionist His mind upon her pants Signs a stack of wilting documents Is never off his guard Tells his frantic secretary To pay off his MasterCard But the day is long - from 9 to 5 - And so he'll lunch with men Who like himself Dictate their whims In where and why and when But ah this day's no picnic And his life's about to change He will boil like a pot of soup Upon a hissing range When, exhausted, he will toss his coat Across his arm and sends All the little working people home Approaches his Mercedes Benz And it's gone.
